The painter Jonny Andvik (1966 - ) is considered as one of the foremost figurative painters of his generation in Scandinavia. Andvik studied art in Norway 1984-86 and attended the Exeter College of Art & Design (England) four years later. He has also had thorough studies of the painting techniques of the Old Masters and painted in the studio of Odd Nerdrum from 1999 - 2004. His exhibition history includes shows in the U.S., Europe, England, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Norway.
